Non-destructive Testing (NDT) Personnel

Three levels of certification are available for a wide range of NDT methods - conventional and advanced, see list. The scheme complies with EN 473 and ISO 9712.

Employers with specific NDT requirements are also catered for, as is the need for NDT personnel approval under the Pressure Equipment Directive.

Requirements for Employer Specific Certification of Personnel Engaged in Non-Destructive Testing in accordance with the requirements of EN473 and ISO9712 - (Document No CSWIP-ES-12-04 1st Edition February 2004). (58kB)

TWI Certification Ltd is recognised by DTI/UKAS as a Recognised Third Party Organisation for the approval of NDT personnel as required by the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED). Prior to this recognition, TWI Certification Ltd was already permitted to witness approval tests and approve welding procedures.
