All CSWIP and BGAS-CSWIP certification holders are required to abide by CSWIP’s rules. These rules and requirements comprise of four parts:

- Rules of Professional Conduct
- Falsification of CSWIP/BGAS-CSWIP Certificates
The Examination Code of Conduct outlines the rules that must be abided by CSWIP or BGAS-CSWIP applicants who are required to sit an examination as part of their application for certification. It also outlines the sanctions placed on those found to be breaking the code of conduct.
The Use and Misuse of Certificates provides details of the validity and use of a CSWIP or BGAS-CSWIP certificate as well as the penalties incurred for its misuse.
