As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, TWI Certification Ltd has created a specific COVID-19 policy which can be found above.
This policy outlines our response to the pandemic in light of our candidates’ inability to access examinations for their recertification or retest, as well as the validity of their certificates in the ensuing period.
If you have any questions, or if your certificate has not been explicitly addressed in the attached, please contact us and we will respond as soon as possible.
Update 27 March 2020
TWI Certification takes the health and safety of its certificate holders, staff, volunteers, and the wider public very seriously. As such, we are monitoring the guidance provided by the WHO, and have decided to close our office until further notice.
We will be endeavouring to answer emails and continue to provide a level of service and professionalism that our certificate holders have come to expect; however, we will be doing so with reduced staff. Therefore, we kindly ask for your patience and understanding when it comes to the renewal and/or recertification of your certificate.
Please note we are responding to emails on a daily basis, but we are not always available to take phone calls. Before calling, we request you email us on firstname.lastname@example.org in the first instance, and we respond as soon as possible.
Please note we are investigating, in conjunction with our accreditation body UKAS, the options available to current certificate holders who are approaching the recertification of their certificate.
Please continue to check this page for regular updates.

While the imminent threat of the COVID-19 is to an individual’s health and wellbeing, we realise that it poses a further difficulty in regards to retest of examinations and recertification of candidate’s certificates .
A number of CSWIP’s approved examination centres have been closed as per their local authorities request, and as such those certificate holders who are due to retest or recertify through examination are unable to do so.
We realise that the COVID-19 outbreak has created a unique situation beyond the control of CSWIP, approved examination centres, and certificate holders. As a result, CSWIP is asking all Certificate Holders, who are due to retest or recertify in March, April or May, to contact CSWIP as soon as possible to make alternative arrangements.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely, and will adjust our policies as per guidance received from the World Health Organisation.
We would strongly recommend candidates who are at the documentary stage in their certification cycle to complete and submit as normal to ensure their timely and compliant renewal.
If you have any questions regarding the retest or recertification of your CSWIP or BGAS-CSWIP certificate, please contact us.
