CSWIP’s objectives are simple; maintain the integrity of our certificates and certificate holders, remain a reliable and dependable source of assurance for the role-specific knowledge and skill of industry personnel, and ultimately, ensure that our certificates remain trusted by industry to demonstrate an individual’s ‘Compliance through Competence.’
In order to meet our objectives and maintain the standard of our certification schemes, CSWIP undergoes an annual surveillance and a five-year reassessment audit by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).
According to UKAS, “Accreditation is the formal recognition that an organisation is competent to perform specific processes, activities, or tasks (which are detailed in a scope of accreditation) in a reliable, credible and accurate manner.” A UKAS accreditation reassessment or surveillance audit is undertaken by highly professional, reliable, ethical and competent assessors and technical experts, who undertake the audit objectively, with transparency and impartiality.
Accreditation by UKAS instils confidence in CSWIP’s certificate holders by demonstrating that their certificates are issued to the highest quality and in compliance with ISO/IEC 17024, the international standard for personnel certification.
It is with these endorsements that CSWIP is delighted to announce that we have successfully undertaken our five-year reassessment audit by UKAS. CSWIP will continue providing assurance to industry on the competence of its certificate holders, an assurance that, both certificate holders and employers, expect and rely upon.
